This is our Heavy Duty 50mm (2in) Standard Metal Spring Clamp. This is a general purpose pressed steel clamp incorporating a heavy duty coil spring. These are commonly used as Market Stall Clips for securing tarpaulins to Market Stall frames but also have a huge variety of other uses including DIY, camping and caravanning.

We also stock stronger versions of this clamp such as our Goliath 50mm clamp which incorporates an extremely strong spring for very heavy duty use, and softer versions such as our Bishop Easy Open 50mm clamp which features an easy open spring.

Spring Clamp Covers
Our Webbed Nylon Spring Clamp Covers (commonly referred to as clip covers) are designed to slip over the jaws of the clip (as pictured) in order to protect the surface of the item that the clamp is being affixed to. They're often used to prevent tarpaulins from being pierced or torn by the strong biting force of the clamp but are also very popular with DIY enthusiasts and carpenters who use them to prevent surfaces from being scratched whilst using clamps to hold glued components together.

Our Goliath 50mm (2in) Metal Spring Clamp is similar in size to our Standard 50mm Metal Spring Clamp but incorporates a double strength coil spring and a more heavy duty pressed duty steel body.

Customers are advised that these clamps are not for the limp wristed and are designed for extremely tough environments. Some of our customers struggle to open our Standard 50mm Metal Spring Clamp, let alone this even more heavy duty Goliath clamp so please buy with caution.
