Welcome to the the new look TraderSupplies.co.uk!

Even more great news for 2013!

Hot on the heels of the successful relaunch of our new look TraderSupplies.co.uk website in late 2012, on April 2nd, 2013 we launched on a much improved order managment system which has been upgraded to cope with our continued growth over the last 6 months. The upgrade marks the start of our second phase of business development and will be followed by the introduction of some great new features to the TraderSupplies.co.uk website over the coming weeks.

We're delighted to announce that we are almost ready to start accepting payments via PayPal! It's been a hotly requested feature and one that our web team have been working hard to complete over the last few weeks. An announcement will be made on our website within the next few days. Please stay tuned for further details and sign up to our newsletter (see bottom of this page for details) for updates to your inbox.

Thank you for taking the time to visit the new look TraderSupplies.co.uk website! We're very excited to finally to unveil the fruits of over a year's worth of labour!

Back in July 2011 we set out on a mission to completely rebuild our website from the ground up. Since first launching TraderSupplies.co.uk back in January 2009 as the online retail arm of Gavin Kenning Engineering Ltd, itself a company that has been established for almost 40 years, our online business has grown rapidly and by mid 2010 we had recognised that we needed to upgrade our website systems to cope with the continued growth.

What you're looking at right now actually goes far beyond a new website layout. Behind the scenes, we have completely rebuilt our entire order management and stock control system. For our customers, this means that we can process orders far more easily and efficiently than before and, regardless of how you place your order — whether it be over the internet, by phone or in person at our trade counter in Derbyshire — you have full access to your order history, invoices and order statuses simply by logging into your TraderSupplies.co.uk online account.

The behind the scenes stuff aside, we've also made some pretty major changes to the website design, as you may well have noticed! The main aims of the redesign were:

  • To introduce tiered pricing structures to products, giving better discounts to those customers wishing to buy larger quantities - we'll be introducing quantity discounts to more products over the coming weeks
  • To improve the product information available so customers can make more informed decisions about the products they're buying
  • To make the site as straightforward, clutter free and easy to navigate as possible

We think our design team have done a great job! Having said that, we're very eager to hear your feedback, so please do get in touch if you have any comments or feedback. We're constantly working on new developments and upgrades to our website so your feedback really is valued as it helps to inform the way we approach future developments.

Thank you for taking the time to read this!

Happy shopping!
