What does it look and feel like? |
Like a supermarket carrier, this is a vest carrier bag which refers to the vest shaped appearance of the bag. It's manufactured from a high density polythene which means it's scrunchy and thin to touch, just like a supermarket carrier. And just like a supermarket carrier, these bags are primarily designed for function over form. It's rare that you would find this type of bag in high end boutiques but you'll be sure to find them in the vast majority of high street stores.

What's it used for? |
Type 1:
This is one of our most versatile vest carrier bags and has a huge variety of uses. Perfect for food (fruit and veg, meat), towels and bedding, fashion (jackets, jeans, knitwear, hats, handbags), shoes, haberdashery (wool, fabrics), tools, pet food, books and bedding plants.
Type 2:
Similar to type 1 but preferred by garden centres and other plant retailers as the slightly wider dimension of this bag accommodates multipack bedding plant trays. Also popular with electrical and shoe retailers.
Type 3:
This is the strongest type of our large white vest carriers. It's strength and quality feel is preferred by retailers who require a reliable bag that won't tear easily. Typically used for frozen foods, meat on the bone, bottled goods and bulky books. |

What does it look and feel like? |
Patch handle carrier bags combine good looks with quality and strength and are generally considered a step up from your average "vest" type supermarket carrier which favours function over form. This patch handle carrier is manufactured from a high density polythene like a supermarket carrier but is considerably thicker. The result is a bag that crunches a little like a crisp packet but is smooth and thick to touch when compared with a supermarket carrier. You'll find high density patch handle carrier bags in many of the big high street retailers, particularly fast fashion retailers like H&M, River Island and Topshop. This type of carrier bag suggests good quality but not premium products.

Handy:

Standard:
A general purpose, good quality carrier bag, popular with fashion retailers and those selling quality product lines. Typically use for packaging skirts, shirts, trousers, knitwear and hats as well as toys and quality household goods, craft items and framed pictures.
Fashion:
As the name suggests, owing to its wider dimension, this bag is particularly popular with fashion retailers and is ideal for suits, jackets and other bulky fashion lines. It's also frequently used for towels and bedding, larger framed pictures as well as numerous other bulky products where width is required.
